The laboratory research and development of Colombin occupies an area of almost 500 square meters and consists of four experienced and trained technicians.

The range of tools and measuring equipment allows for all types of analysis on cork, wine and chemicals.

 In particular, the lab performs nearly 14,000 tests per year for the quantification of releasable TCA (in accordance with ISO 20752), participating with great satisfaction to the international circuit Interlab.

The laboratory is divided into three parts (physical, chemical and chromatography), each performing different types of analyses.

The instruments of our lab include, among others, two gas chromatographs with mass detector, two FID gas chromatographs, one UV-VIS spectrophotometer, one VIS spectrophotometer, one Perbacco, two Medcork, one Perfilab, one Torcilab (these last three instruments are produced by Egitron for special use on cork), one standardized manual corking machine and leaking and sealing test equipment. The laboratory performs the calibration and maintenance for the whole group of nearly 700 measurement devices.
